The author left behind the cotton fields of West Texas, spent two years in the Army, earned b.a. and master’s degrees and spent 15 years in the pastorate. He earned a doctoral degree for a second career as a psychotherapist. His marriage produced four children (two sons and two daughters) of whom he has reason to be very proud and made him the grateful grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of two. He has retired to the Florida coast to pursue a third career as a writer.
